In a first-of-its-kind initiative, city-based IT company Extentia recently launched a student festival application for android and iPhone users, which showcased Sympulse 2013, city’s prominent college festival.
The five-day fest held from January 28 to February 1 was hosted at the Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies campus in Vimannagar. The fest gave students from across the country a chance to participate, explore, and showcase their skills.
Developed by the company’s iXtentia mobile services division, the Sympulse application included schedules across five days, event directions, FAQs, support, event photos and feedback.
CEO, Extentia, Umeed Kothavala, said, “We created the event-specific mobile application associating with Sympulse 2013 as the festival’s mobile technology partner.”
“With the scale of events at the Sympulse, as well as the large number of mobile savvy visitors, the need was felt for a mobile application this year. Our team was excited to offer the first ever college fest mobile application in the country. We also reported large number of early downloads,” said Balakrishnan Sekhar, president, Sympulse.
