A faxed communique was sent from a deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Delhi police, to the Pune police to inquire about any offence of any kind registered against Union agriculture minister and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.The message had led the authorities of prevention of crime branch to issue instructions to the 33 police stations in Pune. The directive authorised senior inspectors to take up the issue on priority basis and inform the top brass by 11 am on Tuesday. According to the Police Gazette of Tuesday, the DCP had asked the officers to submit the report even if there is no offence registered against Pawar.@DNA
