Scientists warn that the Earth is headed towards an apocalyptic future towards the end of this century and the reason will shock you.

Climate change and extreme weather conditions are being experienced firsthand by many countries across the world, and scientists have now warned that the Earth is headed towards a big natural disaster, which will lead to an ‘apocalypse’ by the end of this century.

Nature, one of the world’s leading science journals, recently conducted a survey with scientists as participants. These scientists helped design the IPCC’s climate report. The results of this survey show that the earth is headed towards an ‘apocalypse’ by the time 2100 rolls around.

The climate change report of IPCC has been prepared by 234 scientists from across the world. One of the scientists of the research, from a university in Medellin, Columbia, has said that the world is changing fast and its resources are being exploited. The ever-changing rain pattern is also creating a shortage of water across the world.

Paola Arias, the researcher from Medellin, said that global warming is increasing, and so is the sea level. It will be difficult for living beings to adapt to the rising temperature and pollution. Arias further said that international governments are moving at a slow pace to reverse climate change, which will not lead to any solutions, and people will get displaced.

As per the observations mentioned in the climate change report of IPCC, humans don’t have enough time to salvage the earth and reverse climate change. In the survey conducted by Nature, 40 percent of the scientists said that the Earth will most likely be doomed by the end of this century.

The scientists said that by the year 2100, there will be so many climate problems in the world that countries will be left destroyed due to natural disasters such as unseasonal rains, cloudbursts, tsunamis, high temperatures, and droughts. The human race will be troubled by problems like food and water shortage.

The survey states that the temperature of the planet is likely to increase by around 3 degrees Celsius by the end of the century, which is significantly higher than the temperature predicted by the Paris Agreement. Climate change will cause a holocaust-like situation in the world, the scientists said.

Scientists have said that world leaders and major countries have only made promises to lead a greener lifestyle, but have not delivered on it yet. They said that countries like the US, China, and the European Union have promised to reduce their greenhouse gas emission, but no action has been taken yet.

If these countries do not deliver on their promises, the human race will be on the verge of extinction by the end of this century, the survey predicts.
