Carlsen will defend his crown

It will be a case of so near yet so far for Viswanathan Anand.

The Indian will not reclaim the world crown this time. Defending champion Magnus Carlsen may appear a tad jaded, but the planets are strongly in favour of the Norwegian.

Anand has a great horoscope with Planet 'X' in exaltation in his eighth house of sports, making him a legend of the game. But he is largely done. On the other hand, young Carlsen's stars are on the ascendancy.

Carlsen, only 23, has a magnificent horoscope with Pluto in its own house and Jupiter in exaltation. Jupiter is also adversely transiting the sixth house of obstacles for Anand. Carlsen will prove that his performance in Chennai last year was not a flash in the pan. Anand will be at his aggressive best, but Carlsen will hold it together.

If Anand can try and win it early, then it's fine. If the world championship were to be decided by a tie-breaker (rapid and blitz) rounds, then Carlsen will beat Anand at his own game.
