I shant Sharma’s horrible form is worrisome, but India need to look at the bigger picture. MS Dhoni has a great set of batsmen at his disposal. The Rainas and Dhawans are here to stay; the Virats and Rohits have great horoscopes, and will even captain India some day. Some talented players with fabulous horoscopes are waiting in the wings and there could be a ‘war’ for batting spots in the near future.
Unfortunately, not a single fast bowler in the Indian team has a horoscope to become a great.
Ishant will never recover from that James Faulkner ‘shock’. His glory days are over. He is well past his best. You will never see him do a Perth again. In fact, his performance in the 2013 Champions Trophy was his last big show. Ditto with R Vinay Kumar too. He will never win a major tournament on his own and will slowly fade away.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a good horoscope, but unfortunately he was born on ‘Amavasya’ day.
He is just one fateful event away from losing his place in the squad. Ashoke Dinda and Parvinder Awana, too, have average horoscopes. Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat and Mohammad Shami are the only bowlers with decent horoscopes, but they, too, cannot become greats. India’s preparation for the 2014 World Twenty20 and 2015 World Cup is under serious threat.
