  LIVE Updates| FIFA World Cup 2022: Messi's Argentina to face Australia, Poland to face France

  With that the round of 16 fixture for the first 8 teams was finalised as Lionel Messi's Argentina top Group C, and they will face off against Australia. Robert Lewandowski's Poland lost 2-0 to Argentina but still progress on goal difference and they will face the daunting prospect of France in the round of 16.

  FT - Full time in the match between Saudi Arabia and Mexico, and there was a dramatic finish. Mexico conceded right at the death which took their goal-difference in negative, hence they win against Saudi Arabia 2-1 but still bow out on goal difference.
