Aditi Ashok shot a 6-under 65 to finish tied fifth, her best finish of the season, in the final round of the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open in Sitges (Spain) on Sunday.
The 20-year-old Bengaluru golfer rose to 16-under for her third Top-10 finish of the year but the first one in Top-5.
Aditi, who has been dividing her time between Ladies European Tour, where she has won three times, and the Ladies PGA in US, where she is playing her second season, had seven birdies against one bogey during the day.
While Anne Van Dam of the Netherlands was a runaway winner at 26-under which included rounds of 64-64-65-65, there were three players, Caroline Hedwall (68), Caroline Masson (66) and Korean amateur Selin Hyun (66) who were tied-2nd. Aditi was T-5 alongside south African Ashleigh Buhai (69).
Earlier in the year Aditi was T-7 at Canberra Classic and then again T-7 at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. She was also T-22 at the Richo Women's British Open, but missed the cut at Evian Championships.
Anne Van Dam was aptly named Estrella Van Dam' after a dominant performance at Club de Golf Terramar, set against the stunning backdrop of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. The 22-year-old from Arnhem compiled 26-under-par 258 to claim her second Ladies European Tour title.
Van Dam had recorded five top-four finishes since her maiden LET victory in the 2016 Xiamen International Open in China two years ago.
