Ameya Walavalkar gets second spot at JK Tyre National racing championship

After qualifying in the third position, Mars Racing’s Walavalkar kept fighting till the last lap of the Formula LGB Swift category but failed to get past Parekh.

Mumbai’s Ameya Walavalkar had to settle for the second place after a neck-and-neck battle with eventual winner Goutham Parekh in Race 1 of the penultimate round of the JK Tyre National racing championship here on Saturday.

After qualifying in the third position, Mars Racing’s Walavalkar kept fighting till the last lap of the Formula LGB Swift category but failed to get past Parekh in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
