Badminton: Chen Long, Jiang Yanjiao win singles crown at China Masters

After taking the first set quite easily 21-16, third seeded Chen Long found himself in a tight corner as Chen Jin led for the most of time in the second.

But Chen Long finally came from behind to secure the set 22-20 and the title.

Chen Long and Chen Jin knocked out Denmark's Peter Hoeg Gade and teammate Lin Dan respectively in the semifinals Satureday.

Chen Long suffered an unexpected defeat in the first round at the World Championships last month as he lost to Kevin Cordon of Guatemala.

"The Masters title reinforced my confidence," Chen was quoted as saying by Xinhua.

"The happiest thing is that I didn't lose to foreign players here, Gade and Lee are our major opponents," added Chen
