Daniel finished 11th overall after three races behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic and was ninth fastest in second practice in Silverstone.

Renault F1 team broke an overnight curfew to fix Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo's car ahead of final practice day and qualifying for the British Formula One Grand Prix on Saturday (August 1).

As per Renault, the team had detected a hairline fracture on the chassis of Ricciardo's car after Friday's two practise sessions at the iconic Silverstone.

The Aussie will have a new chassis for the rest of the weekend due to this reason.

However, the stewards did not take any action as the curfew breach was the first of two allowed under the rules, thus, Ricciardo will face no consequences.
