In the Kolkata derby, Quess East Bengal played out a draw against defending Calcutta Football League (CFL) champions Mohun Bagan on Sunday. Despite dominating proceedings, Mohun Bagan failed too break the deadlock as mariners squandered several chances.
East Bengal too got their fair share of chances particularly in the second half but couldn;t convert any one of them. In the end, it was a 0-0 draw, but not the dull mundane variety as spectators were entertained by good freeflowing football from both the sides under tutelage of their foreign coaches. CFL hopes are still alive for both the teams.
