Manchester City is likely to hit striker Carlos Tevez with a 600,000 pound fine for going absent without official leave after defying the club’s instructions to return from Argentina.
According to the Sun, City could even sack him if he does not return quickly.
Tevez should have trained at Carrington yesterday, but instead remained in Argentina after flying out on Monday for a break.
The 27-year-old’s representatives could not say when he would return.
City had earlier fined Tevez two weeks wages for what they say were five separate breaches of contract in a Champions League game against Bayern Munich in September.
The striker has not played for the club since starting in the 2-0 Carling Cup win over Birmingham in September.
