Cricket tourney for jewellery retailers in Mumbai from today

Nyuzmakers Cricket Challenge (NYUZ) – an underarm box cricket tournament for jewellery retailers in the city – is all set to kickstart the 2014 season from Monday.The retailers not only sweat it out on the field but also interact and meet with their colleagues from various corners of the city. The unusual format of the tournament makes it far more interesting than the regular bat and ball game.One such uncommon trait of the tournament is the compulsory participation of women. The set of rules demands a team to have at least two women who will open the innings.Navin Sadarangani, proprietor of NYUZ said: “ It feels great to see people reciprocating to it with so much enthusiasm. It is the fourth consecutive year that we have organised Cricket Challenge.”Piyush Patel, Director of Dharmanandan Diamonds, said, “The tournament is a wonderful way to get people from the same industry on one platform. It not only lets you meet and network with people of the same business but also helps build sportsman spirit.”
