Cricketer-turned-MP Navjot Sidhu’s wife is critical, may have dengue

Navjot Sidhu said he was in Mumbai when he learnt about the critical condition of his wife from Patiala-based Dr Vandana.

BJP MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife Navjot Kaur is suffering from suspected dengue and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Apollo Hospital in Delhi.

Sidhu told PTI from Delhi that his wife was suffering from suspected dengue and tests and other pathological investigations were still on.

The cricketer-turned-politician said his wife, based in Patiala, developed viral fever a few days ago and was taken to a private hospital there and as her blood platlet count dropped was taken by an air ambulance to the Apollo Hospital in Delhi.

Navjot Sidhu said he was in Mumbai when he learnt about the critical condition of his wife from Patiala-based Dr Vandana.

Sidhu said Dr Vandana had informed him that blood platlet count of Navjot Kaur had decreased and that she would immediately require high level medical treatment, after which she was shifted to the Apollo hospital in Delhi.
