Allaying apprehension in the wake of Pune blast, Delhi Police today briefed representatives of 12 participating countries on security arrangements being made for the World Cup Hockey tournament beginning here on February 28.
Delhi police commissioner YS Dadwal and special commissioner of police Neeraj Kumar briefed them about measures being taken by the city police to ensure foolproof security for the event.
After the briefing, senior Pakistani security officials expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.
"We are satisfied with the security arrangements for the World Cup. We have gone to the hotels also. We will report to the Hockey Federation in Pakistan about our assessment," senior Pakistani security officials Rana Mujahid and Pervez Bandara told reporters.
Besides India and Pakistan, Hockey majors like Germany, Britain and Australia are among the 12 teams which will participate in the event, considered as a dress rehearsal for Delhi Police ahead of the Commonwealth Games in October.
