Argentina ends its 28 years draught on Sunday after Angel Di Maria scored a goal and gave them a 1-0 win over Brazil in the Copa America Final. This was their record-equalling 15th Copa America win drawing level with Uruguay.

Interestingly this was also Lionel Messi's first Copa title and even Maradona too had never won one.

While Brazil won the 2019 edition, Argentina has had a better overall record with 14 titles compared to Brazil's 9. However, the Blue and White team's previous Copa America title was in 1993. Since then, Messi & Co lost four finals and one World Cup final.

The Barcelona legend has won everything at the club level and now has added a major title with his country apart from a 2008 gold medal in the Olympics to his name. The 34-year-old has 10 La Liga titles, 4 UEFA Champions League medals, and 6 Ballon d'Or awards.

As for Messi's former teammate and Brazilian star Neymar, he to has never won either of the two major football titles. Last year the PSG player was out with an injury which Brazil won.
