El Clasico: F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton backs Barca to win against Real Madrid

Ahead of the clash, six time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has shown his support towards the Catalan side. He sid he is sending 'positive energy' for their crunch La Liga clash.

The British driver has even predicted a 3-1 win for the blaugranes in the Clasico at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. 

In a video posted by the club, Hamilton can be seen sporting the Barca jersey as he said, "I'm a massive fan, I'm so proud of you guys and I'll be watching this weekend.

"I know you guys are going to do amazing. You're hugely inspirational and I just want to sent a lot of positive energy".

Hamilton is in Barcelona to finalise preparations for the upcoming 2020 Formula 1 season which gets under way on March 15 in Australia. He has been testing his Mercedes at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Earlier this month Hamilton was named the joint winner along with Leo Messi for the sportsman of year by Laureus. It was the first ever tie for the award in its 20th year of existence.
