Earlier, the Sweden international expressed that he would want to ply his trade in Premier League before calling time on his illustrious career. But now it seems that that the striker has a change of plans.

The revelation about retiring plans comes as a surprise because  Ibrahimovic was heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal. But this will surely break hearts of a lot of fans.

“Anything could happen next summer... maybe I’ll just retire,” he said. “Nobody’s thought of that possibility. I would prefer to go out at the top.” Goal.com quoted the Swedish talisman.

The former Ajax, Barcelona, Inter Milan and AC Milan striker never seems to be out of form and gets better and better with age. He has already netted 34 goals for the Ligue 1 champions in 40 games. However, PSG couldn't lure him back to the club as they failed to reach an agreement. As a result, Ibrahimovic will be free agent this summer.
