Things got bad during the match when Arsenal's Gabriel Paulista as the young Brazilian defender got sent off for allegedly kicking Diego Costa at the cusp of half-time. Both Costa and Gabriel received an initial booking from referee Mike Dean, but went on to receive a red card when Costa took the matter a little further to provoke Gabriel, which resulted in a sending off for the Arsenal defender.
The incident left Arsenal fans shocked as to how Diego Costa did not receive a red card for his aggressive action.
