Ahead of the last quarter-final game of Euro 2016 between France and Iceland, French security forces conducted a controlled explosion outside the Stade de France in Paris.

Fans of both the teams approaching the stadium heard a loud bang and were restricted from progressing further due to security issues. Police confirmed they blew open the door of an illegally parked car outside the stadium.

ISIS terrorists tried to attack the Stade de France in November as part of a co-ordinated attack on Paris which included the massacre inside the Bataclan theatre.
