GOTHENBURG: Steffi Nerius of Germany won the women's javelin at the European championships on Sunday. Nerius recorded a best of 65.82m, with Barbora Spotakova of the Czech Republic (65.64m) taking silver and Spain's Mercedes Chilla (61.98m) bronze.
