Just five feet, six inches tall, the Brazilian superstar of the 1994 World Cup is considered as one of the great centre-forwards of world football. Romario was the ultimate fox in the box, the epitome of a poacher, using his low centre of gravity to master the limited space of the penalty area. He scored five goals in the 1994 edition, one each against Russia, Cameroon, Sweden, The Netherlands (quarterfinal) and Sweden (semifinal). Although he didn’t score in the final, which ended goalless after full time, he converted Brazil’s second penalty in the shoot-out, which ended in a 3-2 win for Brazil. Romario won the World Cup Golden Ball as the most valuable player of the tournament. With 55 goals in 70 games, Romario is the third highest scorer for  for Brazil.
