Saina Nehwal was given a heroine’s welcome late on Monday night in Chennai. The party didn’t end there as the champion shuttler received a superb reception in her hometown of Hyderabad the very next morning.

Bleary eyed and visibly tired as she returned home after, Saina was beaming with joy. She was received at the airport by BAI vice-president Ashok Bajaj and the media.

“I attribute this hat-trick to my fitness level which has phenomenally increased along with my mental strength. My parents, too, are obviously delighted, but I am not going to rest on my laurels,” an ever-smiling Saina told reporters.

With four hours left for the Hyderabad flight, Saina spent time in the VVIP lounge to catch up on some much-needed rest. “With my confidence level very high, I am now prepared to take on any Chinese challenge and conquer them,” she said.
