CHANDIGARH: Ishan Malhotra, an Indian Cricket League (ICL) player who is part of the Chandigarh Lions team, was involved in an accident here when he hit two pedestrians with his motorcycle, the police said on Sunday.
Ishan was riding his Yamaha R1 supersports bike late on Saturday when he hit two boys from behind near the Sector-8 Gurdwara in Chandigarh.
"One of the boys sustained serious head injuries and was admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) while the other boy escaped unhurt," said the police official.
"Ishan also sustained some injuries and was admitted to a private hospital here," the police official added.
The police said no case has been registered as yet, as they have not received any complaint from the victims.
Malhotra, 24, a fast bowler, originally hails from Jammu and Kashmir.
Malhotra has also played for Punjab's Ranji team before joining Subhash Chandra's rebel ICL in 2007.
