India vs Sri Lanka:Twitter reacts to India's embarrassing loss in Galle
Twitter users take potshots at team India
It wasn't a very happy Independence Day for the Indian cricket fans as Virat Kohli's men succumbed to an embarrassing 63-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the first test who scripted a remarkable turnaround.
Set a target of 176, the listless Indians struggled to play spin on a crumbling pitch. No one except Rahane actually covered themselves in much glory and the team get out for a paltry 112. Left arm spinner Rangana Herath took 7/48 wickets while Tharindu Kaushal took 3/47. The Indian team only lasted 49.5 overs. Here's how Twitter reacted to the embarrassing loss:

7 wickets for Herath Mudiyanselage Rangana Keerthi Bandara Herath. He's made quite a name for himself.

There need to be consequences if India lose a game after that sort of first innings lead. Rahul, Rohit, DRS, anyone? #IndvSL

69 all out will be a good tribute to the freedom fighters of the nation.

In situations such as these you miss one man. Yeah, that Very Very Special guy who only seemed to function when India needed him most.

A Test series in SL convinced India against the DRS; a Test series in SL might convince India in favour of the DRS

There was a time when I used to even watch Veterans' cricket. Sandeep Patil, Ashok Malhotra, Joel Garner et al.

This is hardly a heartbreak. The most painful Cricketing losses in my memory: - Barbados, 1997, 5th test - Pakistan test with Sachin batting
— Gabbbar (@GabbbarSingh) August 15, 2015
(Spoke of Barbados 1997 in terms of collapses, btw. Lost chasing 120. Overall: hard to beat the heartbreak of Chennai 1999)

There's a lot to be critical about India's performance but save that for later. For the moment let's hail a stupendous victory by Sri Lanka

Rohit Sharma's talent & Narendra Modi's development are one & the same thing.
