Indians had a disappointing outing at the IAAF World Race Walking Cup, a qualifying event for the Beijing Olympics, with the team finishing 12th.

NEW DELHI: Indians had a disappointing outing at the IAAF World Race Walking Cup, a qualifying event for the Beijing Olympics, with the team finishing 12th and one of the runners being disqualified from the tournament being held in Cheboksary, Russia.
    
India finished with 203 points.
    
In the 50km walk final of the individual competition, Harminder Singh finished 63rd with a timing of 4:35:24 seconds while Basanta Bahadur Rana (4hr 43:09sec) and Jalan Parayil Surendran (5hr 04:31 sec) crossed the line to secure 69th and 71st positions respectively.
    
Babubhai Panucha could not finish the race while Chandan was disqualified.
