Italian cyclist Gabriele Bosisio has been suspended for two years after testing positive for blood booster EPO in an out of competition test in September, the Italian Olympic Committee said in a statement on Wednesday.
The LPR rider, who led the 2008 Giro d'Italia for a day, is the latest in a long line of Italian riders to test positive.
Last year's Giro runner-up and LPR rider Danilo Di Luca failed a dope test during the world's second biggest stage race last May.
