BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya passed away on Sunday night. Dalmiya had been admitted to the BM Birla Hospital after complaining of chest pain on Thursday. Born on May 30, 1940 in Kolkata, he was considered one of the greatest cricket administrators known to the game. He is often considered the man who made cricket a global sport. He is often considered the man to have transformed cricket into a global game. Jagmohan was born into a Marwari business family and was a club-standard wicket-keeper. However, it was in administration that he would make his name. He joined BCCI in 1979 and helped bring the World Cup to India in 1987.
