Juventus, Genoa lure Manchester United's fed-up striker Dimitar Berbatov

Despite being United's 20-goal top scorer, Berbatov was unused substitute in Tuesday's Champions League win over Marseille.

Italian clubs Juventus and Genoa want to lure Manchetser United fed-up striker Dimitar Berbatov, who is frustrated at being sat on the bench in favour of Javier Hernandez.

The Italian clubs have spoken to Berbatov's agent.

Despite being United's 20-goal top scorer, Berbatov was unused substitute in Tuesday's Champions League win over Marseille.

United boss Alex Ferguson spotted his sulk and was caught on camera nudging No 2 Mike Phelan and pointing and laughing.

Berbatov cost United a club record £30.75 million when he was signed from Tottenham in 2008.

His contract ends in summer of 2012 and Genoa are ready to pay £9 million.
