Police today claimed to have busted a racket of bookies who used to place bets on IPL matches with the arrest of a person in this connection.
Vinod Kumar of Ellenabad was arrested for allegedly placing bets on IPL matches and six mobile phones, six chargers, one calculator, three remotes, one recorder, colour TV, two SIM cards and a register maintaining records of cricket matches was recovered from him, police said.
He was arrested after a tip-off that a person was running a racket placing bets on IPL matches from his residence, they said.
