Manchester City are preparing to compromise on their asking price for striker Carlos Tevez if it facilitates a swift exit for the Argentina striker.
According to The Telegraph, the club were looking for a fee in excess of £40 million in the summer, but they will take a pragmatic approach in January and would consider bids of £25 million plus add-ons.
With Tevez’s track record as a goalscorer, a £25 million fee would prove very tempting to buying clubs, despite the damage the affair has done to the Argentine’s reputation.
The big problem will be finding a club capable of matching, or even approaching his wages, which are in excess of £200,000 per week.
