'Missing so much my boys. Mum is coming soon'- Mary Kom's heartfelt message after winning CWG gold

Mary Kom punches to gold on CWG debut

MC Mary Kom dedicated her maiden Commonwealth Game gold medal to her three sons, Rechungvar, Khupneivar, and Prince.

She tweeted, "I Dedicated my #GC2018boxing Gold Medal to my 3 sons, Rechungvar, Khupneivar & Prince, calling me MAMA when r you coming home. I thank my coaches, support staffs, @BFI_official, @Media_SAI for believing in me #PunchMeinHaiDum

 After her victory, MC Mary Kom said, "I am so glad to have made history again, it is a special feeling to win something that is a milestone medal. I am just so glad."

"This medal and each one of my medals is special to me because I have worked equally hard for them. And I will continue to do so till the time my body is fit," she added.

After Commonwealth Games, Mary Kom might give the Asian Games in Indonesia a miss to ensure her body is in best shape for the World Championships later this year.

The 35-year-old is keen to ensure that her career continues for another two years before she considers calling time on a stellar stint inside the ring.
