\ Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon insists that he doesn’t fear bowling to Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and other star batsmen in the upcoming four-Test series.

“I know there’s a lot of talk about how good they are against spin, but how they play is out of my control, I’ll just worry about my own skill set,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Lyon, as saying.

“I’ll just do the basics right and see how the game unfolds. My first hope is I’m picked for the Test, the team hasn’t been named yet, fingers crossed I am and if I get to bowl against Sachin Tendulkar it will be unbelievable.”

“But in saying that, I’ll be playing for Australia, he’ll be there for India, so I’ll be looking for his wicket more than anyone else’s,” he added.

The first Test of the series will start in Melbourne on December 26.

The remaining Tests will be played in Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. The Tests will be followed by two Twenty20 internationals, before Sri Lanka join in for a one-day tri-series from February 5.
