Nigeria beat Zambia 5-4 in a penalty shootout to reach the African Nations Cup semi-finals on Monday.

Nigeria beat Zambia 5-4 in a penalty shootout to reach the African Nations Cup semi-finals on Monday.                                           

Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama netted the winning spot-kick after the game had ended in a goalless draw after extra time.

Nigeria will meet Ghana on Thursday in Luanda for a place in Sunday's final, while holders Egypt face Algeria in Benguela.                                            

Nigeria had Onyekachi Apam sent off in extra time for a second booking but held on to force the shootout.
