RCB batsman Chris Gayle will miss the next two matches of the IPL as he is going home to be with his partner Natasha Berridge who’s expecting his first child. He wrote on Instagram: “I’m on my way, Baby.”
This means Gayle will miss upcoming matches against Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants. It’s believed that Gayle will be back on April 25. Gayle hasn’t been in top form in the IPL, but Virat’s not worried. He wrote: “I am confident that Gayle can come up with runs when the team needs it.
“You can certainly be rest assured that Gayle will come good as the tournament progresses. He would score a century when the team will need it. I am not too worried about Gayle, because the other guys are stepping up nicely. Cricket is all about grabbing the opportunity, if some others fail.’’ In Gayle’s absence, Kohli, AB de Villiers and Shane Watson have stepped up.
