Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal who is famous for his misadventures on Twitter, was roundly trolled again for another mindless tweet and this time it was regarding the death of a former cricketer.
Incidentally, former Australian pacer Max Walker had breathed his last on September 28 and it was then that well renowned coach Dav Whatmore had taken to Twitter to express his sorrow over the loss of his good friend. Walker had represented Australia in over 30 Tests and 15 ODIs. "Very sad to hear the passing of #Tangles . One of the greatest Victorian & Aussie players has left us. Farewell mate," read Whatmore's tweet.
However, Akmal couldn't gauge the meaning of the statement and retweeted Whatmore saying, "V nice @dfwhatmore :)".
Twitterati were quick to find out the flaw in Akmal's tweet and mercilessly trolled him.
Akmal finally made amends when another Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad pointed out the disastrous mistake. "Thanks @iamAhmadshahzad for ur concern @dfwhatmore I am so sorry about the tweet that was by mistake," tweeted Akmal. However, the damage was already done.
