Suspended Pakistani bowler Saeed Ajmal has lashed out at ICC for its double standards, saying that Harbhajan Singh and R Ashwin 'chuck' the ball. Zainab Abbas, a reporter from Pakistan's 'Duniya News', conducted the interview with Ajmal where he made these allegations.
38-year-old Saeed Ajmal was banned from international cricket last September for bowling with an illegal action, and he hasn't been a part of Pakistan's team since then.
In the interview, Ajmal slams ICC for being biased against Pakistan and target only their bowlers for illegal actions. During the interview, Ajmal also clearly accuses Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh and Ashwin of 'chucking' the ball.
Ajmal mentions during the interview that he cannot bend his right arm appropriately due to an injury problem. He also says that "if Harbhajan bowls 60 balls, all of them are illegal in terms of bowling action". According to Ajmal, not all balls bowled by Ashwin are illegal, but Harbhajan Singh's is definitely illegal. The Pakistani bowler has also stated that if ICC would examine Harbhajan's bowling action, it would turn out to be 100% illegal as per their rules.
While giving the interview, he says that Harbhajan is not the only one who chucks the ball, there are others as well. But Ajmal was reluctant to reveal those names.
