Sarabjot narrowly missed out on qualification, as only the top eight shooters advance.

India's Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema fell short of qualifying for the medal round of the men's 10m Air Pistol event in Chateauroux at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

Sarabjot narrowly missed out on qualification, as only the top eight shooters advance. He finished in 9th place with an overall score of 577-16x, just behind Germany's Robin Walter (577-17X). Arjun Singh Cheema finished in 18th place with an overall score of 574-17x.

Earlier in the day, Indian shooting fans were disappointed as the pairs of Ramita Jindal-Arjun Babuta and Elavenil Valarivan-Sandeep Singh failed to qualify for the final of the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification round. Ramita and Arjun scored a total of 628.7 in a series of 30 shots each, while Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh finished in 12th place with 626.3 points.

On a brighter note, India's sole rower, Balraj Panwar, advanced to the repechages after finishing fourth in heat 1 of the men's singles scull competition. Despite missing out on direct qualification for the quarterfinals, Panwar will have another opportunity to compete in the repechages after finishing behind New Zealand's Thomas Mackintosh, Stefanos Ntouskos, and Abdelkhalek Elbanna in his heat.

The top three finishers in each heat secure direct qualification for the quarters, leaving Panwar with another chance to progress in the competition.
