Paris Olympics 2024: Ramita Jindal qualifies for women’s 10m air rifle final, heartbreak for Elavenil

Ramita Jindal showcased her exceptional marksmanship by securing a spot in the final of the women's 10m air rifle event at the Paris Olympics on Sunday. With an impressive score of 631.5 in the qualification round, Jindal demonstrated her skill and determination on the world stage.

In a tense moment during her final attempt, Jindal needed a shot worth 10.3 points to secure her place in the final. With nerves of steel, she delivered a remarkable shot worth 10.4 points, securing a fifth-place finish.

Unfortunately, Elavenial Valarivan, the other Indian competitor, narrowly missed out on a spot in the final. Despite a strong performance, Valarivan ended in 10th place with a score of 630.7. A disappointing 9.9 in the final two shots cost her a spot in the final, leaving her just 0.6 points short of qualification.

Jindal's impressive performance and Valarivan's near miss highlight the fierce competition and high stakes at the Paris Olympics. Both athletes showcased their talent and determination, representing India with pride on the international stage.
