Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat faced a tough defeat in the semi-final bout of the men's 57 kg freestyle category against Japanese top seed and World Champion Rei Higuchi, with a score of 0-10. Despite being just one win away from securing a silver medal and advancing to the gold medal match, Sehrawat will now compete in the bronze medal match.
Aman Sehrawat is a rising star in Indian wrestling, known for his impressive skills and determination. At just 21 years old, he holds the title of Asian champion in the 57kg freestyle category (2023) and won a bronze medal in the same category at the 2022 Asian Games.
Sehrawat's journey in the competition began with a dominant performance against Vladimir Egorov of North Macedonia in the Round of 16, securing a victory with a score of 10-0. In the quarter-final match against Abakarov Zelimkhan of Albania, Sehrawat once again showcased his talent by winning with a score of 12-0.
However, Sehrawat faced a formidable opponent in the semi-finals, going up against World Champion Higuchi Rei of Japan. Despite his best efforts, Sehrawat suffered a defeat with a score of 0-10.
