India's medium-pacer Praveen Kumar was heckled by cricket fans and had to be restrained by teammates Suresh Raina and Munaf Patel after the end of the warm-up game against Northants on Saturday.

As the team was coming out of the ground, some of the unhappy Indian fans passed comments and most of the banter was in good humour. But it soon turned ugly as Praveen charged out of the team bus with a cricket bat.

Kumar, who was fined 20% of his match fee for dissent in the second Test, had to be restrained by Raina. Kumar was seen raising the bat towards group of fans and  exchanged few heated words with them.

Fast bowler Munaf also rushed out of the bus and complained to stewards. He also intervened as Kumar again came out of the bus and charged towards fans. Kumar reportedly hurled abuses against fans, acording to a report in Pakpassion.net.

"I am under 18, I haven't done anything wrong," a fan shouted back at Kumar.

Raina, Patel and the Indian security manager came out to avoid an ugly incident.
