The heir to British throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, will arrive here tomorrow on a day visit to Punjab and Chandigarh, officials said today.

The couple would visit an organic farm at Hansali village in Fatehgarh Sahib before having a dinner with former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh at the New Moti Bagh Palace in Patiala, they said.

Charles is scheduled to meet entrepreneurs from Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust, modelled on the Prince of Wales Youth Business International that provides seed capital and business mentoring for unemployed youth.

The prince will also join a discussion amongst policy makers, architects, realtors and academics on how to manage urban environments in a way that promotes efficient use of resources and build social capital at the Punjab Energy Development Agency.

Meanwhile, the Duchess is scheduled to visit a local school, where she will interact with students, and the Society for Rehabilitation of Mentally Challenged.

Security has been beefed up at the places which are scheduled to be visited by the royal couple, police said.

Meanwhile, President Pratibha Patil will be visiting the city on Tuesday and stay overnight before attending a function at Amritsar on Wednesday.
