NEW DELHI: Yuvraj Singh's impressive performance in the shorter version of the game will help him cement a place in the Test squad, feels his mother Sabnam.

"I believe that my son will get a permanent seat in the Test side very soon. But for that he must perform consistently," she said.

Sabnam was ecstatic after Yuvraj won the inaugural ICC Award for Best Twenty20 Performance of the Year.

"I consider myself very lucky for having a son like Yuvraj. I had firm belief that the award will go to my son. He played quite well in the Twenty20 Wold Cup last year and who can forget his six sixes in an over," she said.

The left-hand batsman, who was handed over the award at a glittering ceremony in Dubai last night, smacked six sixes in an over off England's Stuart Broad in the first Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa last year.

Yuvraj sent an SMS to his mother from Dubai after winning the ICC Award saying, "I have won it."
