Queen's Baton Relay to reach Kerala tomorrow

State sports minister M Vijayakumar and Kerala state sports council president TP Dasan and Olympion Suresh Babu would receive the QBR when it enters Kaliyikkavila at the Kerala border.

The Queen's Baton Relay (QBR) of the Commonwealh Games-2010 to be held in New Delhi in October would reach here from Kanyakumari tomorrow.

receive the QBR when it enters Kaliyikkavila at the Kerala border.

The baton run would end at the Chandrasekharan Nair stadium, where the baton would be brought there by Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna winner and state's sports personality KM Beenamol, State sports secretary UKS Chauhan and state sports council president Dasan told reporters here today.
 
State chief minister VS Achuthanandan would be the chief guest at the function. The QBR would leave for Kochi on its way to Lakshadweep on August 27. The QBR would be in Kochi on August 28 and it would leave for Thrissur on August 30.

QBR would leave Kozhikode for its journey to Ootty via Wyanad and Sylthan Bathery on August 31.
