While most have seen Geeta Phogat's gold medal match at the 2010 Commonwealth Games courtesy Dangal, many have missed out on the real bout that happened at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi.

As expected Aamir Khan's latest release, Dangal is already breaking box office records within three days of its release. And what makes the biopic, based on the journey of Arjuna awardee Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters special, is the superb acting of not only Mr Perfectionist but also Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra who play the characters of Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari respectively.

Dangal is an inspirational story of how Mahavir Phogat trained his two daughters, Geeta and Babita, to wrestle in the face of patriarchy and the girls went on to win gold medals in the Commonwealth Games.

It's never easy for an actor to replicate a sportsperson and Fatima Sana Shaikh has to be given full marks for making the viewers believe that she is the real Geeta. While most have seen Geeta's gold medal match at the 2010 Commonwealth Games courtesy Dangal, many have missed out on the real bout that happened at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi.

On that glorious day, Geeta had posted a dominating 1-0, 7-0 victory over her Australian opponent Emily Bensted in the 55kg freestyle wrestling final. But director Nitesh Tiwari wanted to infuse twist and turns in the match to keep the audience on their toes and so unlike this real match, the film showed the reel game with scores 3-0, 4-6 and 6-5.
