MUMBAI: Red Romeo galloped away with the Nitco Million, the feature event on the 16th day of the Mumbai meeting, at the Mahalaxmi Race course here on Sunday.
While it was Red Romeo all the way, Star Presentation avenged the defeat beating Autonomy to the third place finishing behind Red Romeo in the race which saw Autonomy making a promising start in this 1400 meters journey.
Red Romeo finished with a time of 1:25.25, behind Strawerry Fields’s time of 1:23.45 set in the year 2007.
It was Autonomy who took the lead as the nine contenders got off the gates. Red Romeo who was close behind the leader took charge of the proceedings half-way through this 12400 meter journey to canter home by 2 and a half lengths ahead of Star
Presentation.
