The trick every school boy would try at least once.

The defining moment of the 1974 World Cup and a skill which numerous schoolboys across the world would try on the playground was when Johan Cruyff conjured up this magical skill that came to be known as the Cruyff turn. In the 23rd minute of the game between Holland and Sweden when he sold the mother of all dummies against Swedish defender Jan Olsson.

The move involved a feint where it appears a player is about to pass the ball but instead of kicking it he took the ball behind his planted foot with the inside of his crossing foot, turn and accelerate away. After Cruyff did it, it was widely copied and became one of the most popular dribbles of all time.
