Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have released star batsman Yuvraj Singh from it's team roster, a news which will come as a surprise for fans of the south-paw.
Interestingly, the Vijay Mallya-owned outfit had paid a massive 14 crore fee to acquire Yuvraj's services, and this recent development will definitely be a body blow for Yuvraj, who is trying to get a hold over his sagging career.
Incidentally, Yuvraj scored 376 runs at an average of 34 for RCB last season, which also included three fifties. He also managed to deliver a useful performance with the ball and captured five wickets in all.

RCB had finished second from bottom in the points tally with five wins and nine defeats, a fact which belies their star-studded talent.
Yuvraj's acquiral had come amidst controversial circumstances, as RCB had outbid Kolkata Knight Riders in a heated auction, and spalshed almost a chunk of their cash to get him on board.
As things stand, RCB may well use the money acquired by releasing Yuvraj to buy a horde of players, come the next IPL auctions.
