MOSCOW: Sania Mirza was on Thursday ousted from the WTA Kremlin Open after her doubles quarterfinal defeat at the hands of top seed Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Liezel Huber of USA.

Sania, partnering Patty Schnyder of Switzerland, went down fighting 6-3 5-7 10-7 in the $2,340,000 Tier 1 tournament.

The Indian had already crashed out of the singles event, losing her first round match to Argentine Gisela Dulko on Wednesday.
