Virat Kohli's tremendous run as full time India captain got bolstered on Wednesday as the Men in Blue crushed England by 75 runs in the 3rd T20 to win the series 2-1. India had beaten the visitors 4-0 in the five-match Test series, 2-1 in the three-game ODI contest before clinching a 2-1 win in the three T20Is.
Kohli has always been down to earth and even after getting the captaincy in all formats he still has maximum respect for his senior colleagues, including Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra. He spoke highly of them during the post match press conference and didn't forget to capture a selfie with the experienced players of the team.
"It's not a bad thing when you have MS Dhoni behind the stumps and experienced guys like Ashu bhai (Ashish Nehra) and Yuvi pa (Yuvraj Singh). I am new to limited overs cricket and they have been around long before me. I'm taking advice from them whenever possible, they're so intelligent, a lot of credit goes to them," Kohli said about his senior mates.
